Washington DC

DHROOPAD participated in the 65th United Nations birthday celebration organized by the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area (UNA-NCA) at the National Geographic Courtyard in Washington DC.

DHROOPAD presented Bangladeshi Dances. Other, participating organizations included Taratibu Youth Association (Pan African drill performance), Saffron Dance (Belly Dance performance and workshop),  Nomad Dancers and Raqs Jameel (Central Asian Dance performance), Pan Masters Steel Organization (Caribbean Steel Drum Band),  Grupo Ondas Virgina Capoeira (Brazillian Martial Arts), The Didgeridoo Medicine Man and Co. (Australian Aboriginal Music), Sahara Dance

(Belly Dance performance and workshop).

The DHROOPAD participants included:  

Adity Choudhury, Anika Mahmood, Antora Rahman Kaori (Director), Silvee Jamil, and Zareef Hamid (emcee).
