March 13, 2010: Manassas, VA

DHROOPAD  organized a unique concert on 'Confluence of Raagas on Ranbindra Sangeet'. Iconic Ranbindra Sangeet singer of contemporary times, Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya,  was the featured vocalist. She was accompanied  by acclaimed musicians;   Debu Nayak on Tabla, Soumya Chakraborty on Sarod, Sambrata Rakshit on Sitar, Krishna Shadu on Mandira, Hiron Choudhury on Keyboard , and  Zareef Hamid on Acoustic Guitar.  Soumya along with the other musicians composed a whole range of fantastic bandishes to show how Rabindra Sangeet could also influence instrumental music. Bannya, along with the instrument artists, gave a stance performance that kept the packed hall music lovers mesmerized.
